Executive Director of SEKUENS (Asturian Agency for Science, Business Competitiveness, and Innovation)

Executive Director of SEKUENS (Asturian Agency for Science, Business Competitiveness, and Innovation) a position he has held since October 2023. He has a Bachelor’s and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Oviedo, along with Master’s degrees in Innovation Management and Business Management.

With 24 years of experience in technology development, manufacturing engineering, materials science, nanotechnology, and R&D&I management, he has led over 50 projects across sectors such as medicine, aerospace, defense, and energy. He is also experienced in international trade, particularly in Europe and Latin America, and has held key leadership roles including presidency and board memberships in organizations like SRP, ASTURGAR, and CEEI.

Additionally, he has advised the European Commission in Research and Innovation, demonstrating his strong capabilities in business unit development, strategic planning, and the commercialization of technological products and services.
